Creators have been running Indie Animation Panel at many different conventions over the years. The point of it is to show the steps they do to create their award winning animation and to inspire others to create their own animation on their own. Combined that with inspiration by VH1’s “Behind the Music,” Supa Pirate Booty Hunt The Documentary was born.

Director Steve Sievers talked about it on the Jack of All Nerds Podcast “As a music lover, I always loved watching Behind the Music. I thought to myself, why not take that concept and do it with animation? Instead of the musicians talking to the camera about their songs & journey, Dahveed and I could talk to the camera about our animation and journey.” Its been an epic journey for Zack and Daniel the Turtle over the first nine years. In the documentary, Steve and Dahveed explain all the ups and downs that comes with being an independent animator. Even show off never before seen animation and artwork.
