Pics from SPBH at Digital Screening Night

Supa Pirate Booty Hunt episode Holiday Fight Club Island was screened at the 1st Digital LA Digital Screening Night at IgnitedSpaces in Hollywood last night. The event was for Filmmakers to show off their comedy videos, with a frisky love theme perfect for the pre-Valentines February event, to a packed audience. After each film, the creative team answered questions on video development, funding, filming, distribution, marketing and social media. SPBH co-creator, writer, animator, and voice of Daniel the Turtle was on hand to talk about making of the animation and plans for the future. The event was a chance for filmmakers to screen their content, usually available online, with an live audience to gauge their laughter / reactions, and questions from the audience. Everyone there was able to pick up free Supa Pirate Booty Hunt The Documentary Poster, postcards, or business cards. Check out pics from the packed house below.

SPBH on Digital LA Panel

Supa Pirate Booty Hunt creators will be on Digital LA 1st Digital Screening Night this Monday at Ignited Spaces in Hollywood. The Digital Screening Night is a chance for content creators to screen their new <5 minutes digital content, including scripted/unscripted, web series episode, music videos, animation, etc. in front of an audience with 5 min of Q&A and feedback after.  Great opportunity to see a live audience react to online videos, and get comments in real life, and make connections for digital content creators. Talk Like A Pirate Day Party Pics

Supa Pirate Booty Hunt creators were proud to be apart of of Digital LA Get Funded Panel at the old google offices in Santa Monica. Since it was on International Talk Like A Pirate Day, they hosted the after party with Digital LA. In the Supa Pirate Booty Hunt party room, they featured pirate theme games with a SPBH twist, SPBH Pirate Theme Art Show, & screened Supa Pirate Booty Hunt animation. SPBH on Digital LA Panel @ Meltdown Comics

Supa Pirate Booty Hunt co-creator, animator, & voice actor Steve Sievers, was a guest speaker on Digital LA 4th annual pre-comic con panel at the Nerdist Theater at Meltdown Comics.  Steve joined writers, animators and VFX artists on the panel and shared how they use digital and social media to create, develop, Kickstarter-fund and promote their film, TV, web series and apps to fans and like-family communities. Speaking @ UCLA Tonight

Supa Pirate Booty Hunt creators Steve Sievers & Dahveed will be giving a speech tonight at the Digital LA Branded Entertainment Panel tonight at UCLA at Korn Hall. The panel will have guest from ABC Digital Studio, Yahoo! Originals, Fox Digital Entertainment, Matter Entertainment, & others. SPBH will be part of the indie branding panel. Click here for details.

Digital LA Birds + Bourgeois Pig event

Supa Pirate Booty Hunt creators Steve Sievers & Dahveed attended the Digital LA – Birds + Bourgeois Pig Hollywood Hills Drinks event last night at their neighborhood faves Birds and Bourgeois Pig to chat digital, Angry Birds, and toasted Rio’s #1 opening wknd. Cuz LA’s the only place with side-by-side Birds+Pig restaurants! Attendees from web series gurus to animators, LATimes.com, and LA Film School discussed: iPhone games, home page takeovers, viral video marketing, favorite Angry Birds levels, and more. With special drink discounts, we enjoyed emotions from Angry (birds) to Peppy (coffee), Happy (beer), and Healthy (juice). *** Please not that pics with SPBH logo were taken by Steve Sievers and ones with out taken by Kevin from Digital LA.

Digital LA E3 After Party Pics

Supa Pirate Booty Hunt raffled items off at the Digital LA E3 After Party at the Conga Room at LA Live. The world famous Conga Room is owner by Brad Gluckstein and co-owned by Jimmy Smits, Jennifer Lopez, Paul Rodriguez, Sheila E., Amaury Nolasco, Baron Davis, Trevor Ariza, and will.i.am. Supa Pirate Booty Hunt co-creators donated original artwork & signed posters of Supa Pirate Booty Hunt and raffled them off on stage at the event. Dahveed did an artpiece of Pacman bitting Cpr Zack Stevers groin, while Steve Sievers created an old school Game Boy artpiece with Daniel the Turtle on the screen.
