Pics from Animation Festival

Check out pics of the “We Don’t Need No Stinkin’ Badges” animation show that was held last Saturday at Geeks Comics. The festival held a lot of indie animators from the Los Angeles area and around the country. Supa Pirate Booty Hunt co-creator & voice of Daniel the Turtle (Steve Sievers) was on hand to introduce episode “Holiday Flight Club” and was also interviewed by Actors Reporters at the event. Dahveed couldn’t make but had a recored video message and introduced a exclusive sneak peak of an animatic of a new Supa Pirate Booty Hunt episode that will be done later this year. Supa Pirate Booty Hunt merch was on sale at this successful event that featured standing room only. Check out pics below:

Animation Festival Video

GEEKS CON

Supa Pirate Booty Hunt creators will be having a booth @ GEEKS Con this Saturday at Geeks Comics 6747 Greenleaf Ave, Suite A, Whittier, CA 90601. Cpt Zack Stevers & Daniel the Turtle will be making an appearance at the convention. Please note that we will only be there to 7 PM because they have to head up to the Batcave for the Dahveed’s birthday party.  The Whitter Daily Newspaper even did an article on convention, click here to read it.

Iron Man is getting replaced by a…Turtle?

Supa Pirate Booty Hunt co-creator & voice of Daniel the Turtle did an art piece for the group art show called Covered at Geek’s Comics. The group art show is inspired by Free Comic Book Day which was on May 1st. The art piece is up for sale at Geeks Comic Book Shop through May 29th. Geeks is located at 6747 Greenleaf Ave Suite A Whittier, CA 90601. Steve said during the opening reception of the art show “I loved collecting Marvel’s What If… series growing up and I am pumped for Iron Man 2 to be coming out soon, so why not have Daniel the Turtle as Iron man?” As a side note, Steve Sievers loved Iron Man 2 which is in theaters now.

Free Comic Book Day Group Art Show @ Geek Comics

Supa Pirate Booty Hunt co-creator & voice of Daniel the Turtle is having a piece in a group art show in honor of Free Comic Book Day called Covered 2010. The event will take place at GEEKS COMICS at 6847 Greenleaf Ave Suite A Whittier CA 90601. The opening reception is May 1st at 7 PM and the art show will be up until May 29th. Steve piece is titled “What if… Iron Turtle”

Supa Pirate Booty Hunt @ Annies & Cartoonistas

Hello everyone! Are you recovering from your Supabowl hang over? Just wanted to fill you in what Supa Pirate Booty Hunt creators did last Saturday Night. Dahveed attended the Annie’s 37th Annual Award Show which was held at the UCLA Royce Hall in Los Angeles. William Shatner hosted the event, you can see him in picture below. Dahveed partied it up Jen Cody, voice of Charlotte in the Princess in the Frog and Cartoon Historian Jerry Beck. Steve Sievers attended Cartoonistas event at Geeks Comics for owner Sal’s birthday. Steve tried to do justice for Dahveed’s artwork of Daniel the Turtle and even made himself into a Super-Hero for the Cartoonistas self-portrait. Check out pictures below:
