Supa Pirate Booty Hunt episode Holiday Fight Club Island was screened at the 1st Digital LA Digital Screening Night at IgnitedSpaces in Hollywood last night. The event was for Filmmakers to show off their comedy videos, with a frisky love theme perfect for the pre-Valentines February event, to a packed audience. After each film, the creative team answered questions on video development, funding, filming, distribution, marketing and social media. SPBH co-creator, writer, animator, and voice of Daniel the Turtle was on hand to talk about making of the animation and plans for the future. The event was a chance for filmmakers to screen their content, usually available online, with an live audience to gauge their laughter / reactions, and questions from the audience. Supa Pirate Booty Hunt creators will be on Digital LA 1st Digital Screening Night this Monday at Ignited Spaces in Hollywood. The Digital Screening Night is a chance for content creators to screen their new <5 minutes digital content, including scripted/unscripted, web series episode, music videos, animation, etc. in front of an audience with 5 min of Q&A and feedback after. Great opportunity to see a live audience react to online videos, and get comments in real life, and make connections for digital content creators. SPBH @ Hollyshorts Film Festival
The Hollyshorts Film Festival was this past week at the world famous TCL Chinese Theatres in downtown Hollywood. On the opening night featured the film The Sidekick in which Supa Pirate Booty Hunt co-creator & voice of Daniel the Turtle (Steve Sievers) starred in it in which he is wearing his Daniel the Turtle costume. The film stars Rob Benedict (Supernatural), Ron Livingston (Office Space), and Jason Ritter (Freddy VS Jason). Rob Benedict also wrote the film and was at the screening at Hollyshorts Film Festival. In the film Steve comes out of Super Nightclub in his Daniel the Turtle costume with the camera starting on him. Steve caught up with Rob at the event in which he said “you are that shot [Steve] that shot is all about you man. It was [costume] the only one that really worked. Supa Pirate Booty Hunt creators attended the Music Saves Lives Summer Kick Off Party! The event happened at St. Felix in Hollywood and was sponsored by Monster Energy and Jagermeister. SPBH co-creator & voice actor Steve Sievers “we are proud to be gearing up with the charity Music Saves Lives for another summer of great events together along with a brand new animation to help promote their new app and most importantly helping to spread their life saving message.” Look for Music Saves Lives/Supa Pirate Booty Hunt San Diego Comic Con After Party on Friday July 19th at Joe’s Crab Shack right behind the SD convention. Yesterday Supa Pirate Booty Hunt creators attended the Ziggy Marley signing for his new comic book MARIJUANAMAN at Golden Apple Comics, crashed the Best Movie Every Sold world premiere (where they made friends with a little horse), and partied hard at Angels & Kings in Hollywood.
