New Media Film Festival (SPBH Official Selection)

Last night was the opening night for the New Media Film Festival that took place at the Landmark Theater in Los Angeles. SPBH co-creator & voice actor Steve Sievers was on hand to walk the red carpet (see pic above). Supa Pirate Booty Hunt latest animated episode ‘Metal in My Shell’ featuring Dave Mustaine of Megadeth and produced as an animated PSA for the charity Music Saves Lives plays today at 12:30 PM. The animation is an official selection and is up for best socially responsible film award.

Official Selection for New Media Film Festival LA

“Metal in My Shell” Supa Pirate Booty Hunt / Music Saves Lives Animated PSA is one of the nominees for best Socially Responsible Content films at the 2012 New Media Film Festival. “New Media Film Festival is Sundance for the Facebook Crowd.” and features judges from Pixar, Industrial Light & Magic, & The Caucus. The film festival starts June 12th!

SPBH @ HOB Foundation Room

Supa Pirate Booty Hunt creators (Steve Sievers & Dahveed) attended the WebSeries Soriee at the House of Blues Foundation Room on Sunset Blvd. It an event to a kick off to the New Media Film Festival. Steve & Dahveed got to eat, drink, & get tours of the HOB. Steve Sievers “I was shocked to how awesome the tour of the venue and foundation room was, there is a lot of history and art everywhere. I’ve been there so many times and never notice half the stuff. I have to say the venue & foundation room itself is a piece of art.” Pics from the event are below:
