Supa Pirate Booty Hunt creators Steve Sievers & Dahveed attended the Digital LA – Birds + Bourgeois Pig Hollywood Hills Drinks event last night at their neighborhood faves Birds and Bourgeois Pig to chat digital, Angry Birds, and toasted Rio’s #1 opening wknd. Cuz LA’s the only place with side-by-side Birds+Pig restaurants! Attendees from web series gurus to animators, LATimes.com, and LA Film School discussed: iPhone games, home page takeovers, viral video marketing, favorite Angry Birds levels, and more. With special drink discounts, we enjoyed emotions from Angry (birds) to Peppy (coffee), Happy (beer), and Healthy (juice). *** Please not that pics with SPBH logo were taken by Steve Sievers and ones with out taken by Kevin from Digital LA.

 

Club Impulse Pics

Club Impulse at Boardnes night club was an evening of perfect blend of music, art, dance, and modern spectacle which is Supa Pirate Booty Hunt. SPBH had a booth & showed off their artwork & animation. The Supa Pirate Booty Hunt costumes were out on the dance floor tearing up DA CLUB on the platforms. Move over GO GO Dancers…here comes a GO GO PIRATE & GO GO DANCING TURTLE. See pics below.

Meltdown Comics, Angels & Kings, Green Beer, and…Giant Turtle?

Supa Pirate Booty Hunt crew had an amazing St. Patrick’s Day. Started out with free RANGO screening at the arclight, then went to Meltdown Comics for the We Heart Japan charity art show where Daniel the Turtle costume entertained the crowd. The event featured art show, food trucks, voice actors signing, with all money going to the victims of the Japan disaster. The SPBH crew then went to Angels & Kings bar and then a random place down the street on Hollywood Blvd to get some green beer. Below are pics from the night:

Live on the House of Blues on Sunset Strip

Supa Pirate Booty Hunt creators were guest at the Game Fly Private party at the House of Blues in West Hollywood, CA last weekend. The event had games, drinks, food, and Steve & Dahveed got to enjoy being in the VIP area. Steve Sievers said “I’m now an official rock star. I’ve played bass on stage at the House of Blues on the Sunset Strip in West Hollywood. Oh did I mention it was Rock Band at the Game Fly Private Party?” Check out pics from the event below:

Marvel Animation Party

Supa Pirate Booty Hunt crew. attened the One Plus Hub/Marvel Animation Party at Meltdown Comics. Guest for the evening were Jeph Loeb – EVP, Head of Marvel Television, Joe Quesada – Marvel’s Chief Creative Officer, Dan Buckley – Publisher & Marvel’s President of Print, Animation & Digital, Paul Dini – from Batman: The Animated Series, Batman Beyond, Lost, Tower Prep & Ultimate Spider-Man. Spawn Issue #200 Party in Hollywood

Supa Pirate Booty Hunt creators got to attend the Spawn Issue #200 Party @ Golden Apples Comics in Hollywood. Todd McFarlane signed comics along with special guest Jim Lee & Rob Liefeild.  Steve Sievers did a photo shoot with his comic with his Spiderman Superhero squad toys after the event and was quoted “I got Todd to sign which I believe is the coolest comic book cover, his Spiderman Issue Number One!” Congrats to Todd McFarlane for 200 issues of Spawn! Supa Pirate Booty Hunt creators Steve Sievers & Dahveed were guest at the 6TH ANNUAL FOCUS ON FEMALE DIRECTORS last night in Hollywood at the Egyptian Theatre. Dahveed & Steve Sievers were animators on the short film “Sule and the Case of the Tiny Sparks,” which was produced by Dahveed’s company Smorgasbord Production. Above is pic of the Sule crew including ShawneĂ© & Shawnelle Gibbs, voice actors, artist, & others who worked on the film. Actress Kirsten Dunst was in attendance of the film festival.

Hollywood Film Festival

Supa Pirate Booty Hunt creators Steve Sievers & Dahveed will be guest at the 6TH ANNUAL FOCUS ON FEMALE DIRECTORS. This shorts program celebrates the directorial work of actresses-turned-directors, Oscar winners, emerging filmmakers, experimental artists, documentarians, animators, and cinema pioneers. Featured shorts: Kirsten Dunst’s “Bastard” (2010, USA, 6 mins). A young couple in crisis find their way to a desert motel & more including ShawneĂ© & Shawnelle Gibbs’ “Sule and the Case of the Tiny Sparks” (2010, 11 min, USA) which Dahveed & Steve Sievers were animators on the project. The film festival is taking place at the world famous Egyptian Theatre located at 6712 Hollywood Blvd Los Angeles, CA on Wednesday January 5th from 7:30 – 10:30 PM.
