Supa Pirate Booty Hunt creators Dahveed & Steve Sievers were out covering the red carpet & screening for the Downtown Film Festival LA last night. Actor John Hawkes from such movies as The Perfect Storm, Miami Vice, From Dusk Till Dawn, and the hit HBO series Deadwood was being honored at the Opening Night Gala with the “Indie Film Trailblazer Award.” The night started out at the Civic Center Theater (Ronald. F. Deaton Auditorium) where the SPBH covered the Red Carpet and got to screen American: The Bill Hicks Story which follwed with a Q & A with the producers Matt Harlock & Paul Thomas. Special guest on the panel was Steve Hicks & Kevin Booth who played them selves in the movie. The night ended at the The Crocker Club in downtown LA for the after party.
